Playing With Bracelets = CRAZY

I think I'm in either one of these two states :

1. I'm currently very happy with my life and how it goes. New laptop, new friends, and a vacation waiting for me in five days. I've probably become too happy that I decide to make fun out of everything I see, and that includes playing with random other people's bracelets.

2. I'm currently too happy that I've lost it. I've lost my fu**ing mind. And I've become insane. Crazy. Mad. Lunatic. Going loco. Something like that. Because I've never played with other people's bracelets before and it's never a good or normal thing to do. (DUH! You think?)

But either way, the fact is that I'm happy right now. Been happy for almost a month. So what's wrong with a little craziness, right?

This is the story.

Last night I found three aluminium bracelets on the table. I didn't know whose bracelets they were. And while I was talking and thinking about things that were unimportant (read : daydreaming), unawarely, I was playing with the bracelets, and by playing, I mean combining them to make a cool circular globe.

It's easy to make a globe with two bracelets, but it's getting a little tricky to make a globe with three bracelets at once. It's all about steadiness and balance. The next thing I know, I was addicted and committed to make a successful three-way-globe with my only two hands.

After I got it done, some satisfaction swarmed all over myself. It looked cool, so I took pictures of it.

YATTA! I've made it!

"Yatta! I've made it!"

Cool, hoh?

When I dismembered them, someone recorded it. It went Pop! and one of the bracelets flew away. Haha..

The point of this entry is...

sometimes you can make fun out of something as boring as bracelets.

And also...

I'm happy right now...

and a little crazy...

and a little taste of happiness...

and a big amount of narcissism....

and a big smile on my face...

Okay.., not that smile.

La La La

OK, there is no point in this entry. I'm just messing around :P

Halo In The Sky - All Over Medan

Today, at 12.15 noon, people in Medan lift up their heads to look at the sky, or more precisely, the sun. There's the very bright yellow star that's our Sun, and a Halo surrounding it, like a big circle of a never-ending rainbow...

Blinded by the brightness and stung by the vicious heat, I too, was looking at the Sun. I was at NeverLand, Singa Street at that moment, browsing like I always do. And then the owner told me that the sky's been punctured! The Ozone's layer has been broken!

Warped in disbelief and laughter, I went out side to see for myself. It was not an Ozone hole, it was not an eclipse, it was not a rainbow. It's a freakin Halo. A big one, and a scary one too.

So the other owner, Eric and I decided to capture it with a camera. He needed a helmet and a pair of black glasses. He looked funny, though. Hahaha.

Ok, see it for yourselves.

Look at the size of it! It's pretty big, huh! I took that with my lame VGA camera from my cellphone. But it was nice enough. I kinda like it.

If you see it more thoroughly, you'll notice that the sky's darker inside the circle. It's almost scary. And the circle got bigger and bigger over time. What a beautiful sight, nonetheless.

This is Eric preparing to photograph this phenomenon.

and then he went out front, capturing it while wearing the helmet.

Here's more pictures which I took in several different moments and angles.

I took this one above when I was in Percut, about half an hour after I first saw it. The Sun had been covered by clouds but we still could see the rainbow. Nice, huh?

I even recorded it for a moment. Take a look!

Below are the pictures taken by my students out side Sutomo Thamrin. Not bad, too.

So what does this Halo mean? It could be a quirk of nature, a usual optical phenomenon, or I can take it as something to cheer me up today. Hey, at least, this thing made my noon interesting!

I can live with that!

Here's more information about Halo from Wikipedia :

A halo (also known as a nimbus, icebow or Gloriole) is an optical phenomenon that appears near or around the Sun or Moon, and sometimes near other strong light sources such as street lights. There are many types of optical halos, but they are mostly caused by ice crystals in cold cirrus clouds located high (5–10 km, or 3–6 miles) in the upper troposphere. The particular shape and orientation of the crystals is responsible for the type of halo observed. Light is reflected and refracted by the ice crystals and may split up into colors because of dispersion, similarly to the rainbow.

I Can Let Go

Do you remember that time in your life, when you've been through so much in the recent past and the you look back to your long gone past, and say to yourself :

"How could I feel that way?"

"How could I have done that?"

"Why did I go through with it?"

"How come I fell for her?"

"How miserable I was back then."

and another "Why?"

I'm doing some thinking recently. In fact, I've been doing lots and lots of thinking. My life has changed so much, as I know it. I've been improving. My life has been improving, if I am to compare my life back in 2004, 2005, until 2007. Yeah, I say 2008 is not a bad year. It's not as bad year as those years I mentioned.

In 2004, I was living in a mess of uncertainty, not knowing where or what to do. I didn't have anything good to hold on to. Friends came and went away. My life, as I had feared, was unbalanced. I'm talking about the time I was in Jakarta.

In 2005, I was beginning to put it together, a job, a house, a stability. It's a good year, better than the previous, at least. I met some old friends, and then the plane crash arc happened, and once again I was obsessed with things I should have known better not to be.

In the period of 2006 until 2007, I was a total wreck, talking about suicides, desperately wishing for a little hope as my life was all about routines and boredoms. Loneliness caught me in the very bad times of my life. I think it was the time I started gaining weight.

Some time in 2008, I had the turning point of my life. I finally decided to be more happy. I eventually found a way to ease my loneliness. I was fighting, like hell, to stay happy. I think it was the biggest challenge. But I think I managed it. Indeed, I became more happy than I was before. Life became better in spite of my unchanged reality. I tried to make the best of everything. I tried to forget Cy. I am happy to say that I think I already have, though at a price of disliking her.

Some time ago, I was surfing to see lots of pictures of my infatuations. Remember USA. It was my biggest highschool infatuation. I liked her big deal that I remember claiming that I loved her. I told her about my feeling in the most pathetic way any man could do. She rejected me, of course. Since then, I banned her from my life, only to find myself acting awkward everytime I saw her.

Why am I telling this?

Because a few days ago, I saw her again, and guess what : I ain't feeling anything anymore.

I tried to see another people, like Avie, Cy, and others I've liked before.

I don't feel anything anymore to them.

I have evolved, I realize. I'm not being arrogant or anything. Just wanna remember this feeling, a feeling when I think I can let go my past. This is the time when everything will change.

I have changed.

Today, I am stressed out by the behaviour of both my students and my anti virus.

I think it turns out that my life hasn't changed too much. It is I who changed. My life will stay the same right about now.But I believe, if I change myself to be better, and keep on doing that, like what I've been doing this whole year, I believe that my life will follow me to the brighter side.

That's all I need to say right now.

Guess, How old is she?

I've seen many blogs and forums out there posting this interesting but unimportant entry. So why don't I join the club? After all, I'm also interesting and unimportant. :D

OK, actually I just don't have anything to do right now. I'm at my usual spot (Comic Garden) downloading so many many many videos from You Tube (Ssst!), and while I was waiting and browsing, I found this.

Well then. Just guess : How old is this girl?

Is she : (multiple choice pulak...)

A) 3 years old
B) 8 years old
C) 12 years old
D) none of the above

I think if you've ever heard or known this girl, you'll know the answer in a heartbeat. :D
If so, just enjoy the pictures! :DDD

OK, the answer is D, None of the above.

She's actually 22 years old (or at least she was, when the photos were taken), only one year younger than me, which makes me look like an old man. But never mind the age, isn't she pretty? Or Cute? Or Doll-like which is almost inhuman? Nah, I think she's quite cute.

Her name is Miwako, and she's a famous idol in Taiwan. I wonder what she's famous of, perhaps she's famous because many bloggers like me put her pictures and ask other people to guess her age? Just google "Miwako idol Taiwan" for more information about her. Hehehe.

Have a nice day.

Lovin' The Acer Aspire 4530

Finally! Yay!

UPDATED (Sept 10, 2008) :

I'm still downloading several softwares from the net, applications like Adobe Audition 3.0, WinRaR, Limewire 4.18, etc etc...

It's a little annoying that it's raining now, my feet is wet, but I managed to get in to Comic Garden, so that's where I am right now. Wanna see me? I'll try to capture myself using my webcam, in some kind of proof for my pathetic live-blogging. :D

Nah, that's it! Haha.. I know, my hair's a mess. It's raining outside. I should have shuffled them...

Oh yeah, I promised the photos of my new lappie, so here they are... I know the resolutions are bad, they were taken in my room at night with a small VGA phone 1st generation, but I think the pictures look great. Check them out :D

That's my black cool lappie which I'm proud of.

Here are more pictures :

and ...

Haha. That is Kevin, my ex student who went with me to Medan Fair and helped me when I was buying the lappie. We look incredulously cool, don't we? Hahaha...

Anyway, this is how far the update goes... :DDD

Peace Out!

I'm so happy to report that I've finally purchased the notebook I was talking about in the previous post. Acer Aspire 4530, AMD Turion 2Ghz, Nvidia GeForce 9100M, 2GB RAM, HDD 160GB, etc etc.

I was in Medan Fair yesterday with Novi and Kevin. Thank you for accompanying me. I entered every store in the fourth floor and asked for details, compared everything. That took me about 2 hours. By four o'clock, I've finally decided to go for one particular shop, but not before I did my final consulting with my fellow el, Buchan, and I called him all the way to Bandung for information. He helped me to decide, so thanks for him.

Install the Vista Ultimate and several important softwares took another two hours. I bought a cool pad and Kevin bought a new Logitech mouse. And then we went home. No troubles, thanks for that! Unless it was raining heavily. But that's allright.

I haven't got the chance to explore and manage my lappie since I charged it last night for eight straight hours, and today I'm working until night. So I guess I'll see to it tonight.

This entry will also be updated with my lappie's pictures later.

Yay! So Happy right now! ^-^
